How to play
Each level is a stacked board. Your job is to empty it. The tray is short on purpose, so the puzzle is which free tile to take next.
The board
Tiles sit in layers. A tile you can take is a free tile: nothing is still covering it. Tap it and it moves into the tray at the bottom of the screen.
The tray
The tray has six slots. When three tiles of the same picture are in the tray, they clear. If the tray fills and you cannot make a match, the level is lost.
From the lose screen you can retry, go home, or watch an optional ad to continue. A continue puts the last tray tile back on the board when that pick is still in the history. If it is not, one tile is removed from the tray instead.
Winning
Clear every tile on the board, and leave the tray empty. The first time you clear a level in a campaign you earn 25 gold. Replaying a level you have already cleared does not pay that 25 again. There are 105 levels, grouped into 21 worlds of five.
Power-ups
- Hint. Glows a free tile, preferring one that matches something already in your tray.
- Shuffle. Swaps the pictures on tiles still on the board, so a stuck layout can open up.
- Undo. Sends the last tray tile back to the board.
- Hammer. Tap a free tile to remove it from the board without using a tray slot.
A new game starts with 500 gold and three of each power-up. Extra uses cost 120 gold in the shop, or you can watch a rewarded ad. A rewarded ad in the shop also adds 80 gold. Gold is only for play inside Tile Tree. It is not money and it cannot be cashed out.
After level 105
Clearing level 105 readies a gift, on top of the usual 25 gold if that clear is the first one. The gift is 300 gold and two extra of each power-up. Claiming it returns you to the menu. The next time you press Play, the campaign starts again from level 1: gold and power-ups stay, level progress resets, and the gift can be earned again by clearing all 105 levels.
Sound and ads
Music, sound effects, and vibration can be switched in settings. Those choices stay on the device. A banner can show on the main menu, the level map, and settings. It is hidden while a level is being played and on the level-complete screen. A full-screen ad can appear when you press Next after a clear, once every third clear of a level numbered 4 or higher. It can also appear when you leave for the menu from the pause screen or from the level-complete screen, once at least 3 levels are cleared and 90 seconds have passed since the last full-screen ad. Going home from the lose screen does not use that break. Rewarded ads only play when you ask for them.
Progress is saved on the phone. There is no Tile Tree account. See the privacy policy for what that means.
